What Should I Expect During My First Visit/Consultation?
During your first visit at Sims Orthodontics, you will be welcomed at the door with open arms! Once you have checked in, you will be greeted by one of our treatment coordinators. From there, you will get an in-depth tour of our office, meet some of our staff, and learn about all of the fun things going on in our office. You will be taken into a private room where our staff will take some photos and x-rays to determine the course of treatment. Dr. Sims will come in, explain all of the treatment options, and answer any questions you might have. The treatment coordinators will do a complimentary insurance benefits check and go over the investment associated with the course of treatment. By the time you leave, you should have a comprehensive understanding of what the problem is, how we will correct it, how much it will const and how long it will take.
Do I Need to Adjust My Schedule After Visiting the Orthodontist? Eating? Sports?
Once you start your smile journey, you will not need to adjust your way of life! We do recommend a mouth guard if you play contact sports and eat soft foods the first couple of days. We recommend staying away from sugary drinks, hard food, sticky food – but other than that, you are good to go!
All of My Friends Are Getting Invisalign, Is It Better Than Braces?
Choosing Invisalign allows you to experience the effectiveness of traditional metal braces without all of the restrictions. They allow you to eat and drink like you normally would without the fear of breaking a bracket. They are also less noticeable than braces!
